Accommodation Rates & Conditions

Depending on the season our room rates and minimum stays may vary.

Booking Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT

Valid credit card details (sorry, we are not able to accept Amex or Diners) are required to secure your reservation. 50% of the accommodation charge may be debited from the supplied credit card 30 days before arrival. Any unpaid balance is due on arrival.

A surcharge of 2% will apply to payments made by credit card. Payment by bank transfer or Eftpos is welcomed.

CHECK IN

Check in is from 2pm to 8.00pm. To make arrangements for checkin outside these hours please telephone (03) 4438479 or email host@themoorings.co.nz

Check out is by 10am please unless otherwise arranged.

PARKING

We have off street parking free of charge available for one vehicle per room. There is a small amount of additional unallocated parking available.

DAMAGE

The Guest signing the Registration Form accepts liability for any damage or unreasonable cleaning required that arises from their booking. The Guest consents to The Moorings and Lakeshore Springs debiting the supplied credit card for the value of such damage or unreasonable cleaning.

We accept that minor accidents such as a broken glass may occur. However, costs resulting from significant accidents or reckless behaviour by guests or visitors invited by guests will be charged to the credit card held on file.

SMOKING

All indoor areas are Smokefree. Smoking is permitted outside a minimum of 5m away from doors and windows. In the event of someone having smoked indoors we reserve the right to charge any cleaning costs and resulting loss of income to the credit card held on file.

CANCELLATION

For bookings made direct with The Moorings there is a 72 hour Cancellation Policy with the following exceptions:
– Ski season (from 25th June to 30th September) – 21 days notice is required
– Summer season (from 20th December to 30th April) – 14 days notice is required

For bookings made direct with Lakeshore Springs there is a 30 day Cancellation Policy all year round.

Cancellations after the required notice will incur a charge of half the accommodation total.
Non-arrival without cancellation will incur a charge of the total accommodation amount.

For bookings made via an Agent, the Cancellation Policy and Cancellation Fees will be what is agreed by the Guest and the Agent. The Policy and Fees may be different to what is noted above for bookings made directly with The Moorings and Lakeshore Springs.

Cancellation caused by New Zealand Government imposed Covid-19 related travel restrictions will be allowed free of charge.

VISITORS

Guest’s visitors are requested to depart by 11.00pm.

NOISE

Please consider the neighbouring guests during your stay.

Parties are not permitted.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Unfortunately things can go wrong when on holiday. We recommend guests have appropriate travel insurance to protect themselves.
